This Bike Tour takes you to explore the way of living of “Santiaguínos”, and the Chilean culture. Explore the highlights of the downtown area by bike, including: historical monuments, local markets, palaces & museums, together with the most picturesque places of the city center.

*This bike tour requires experience of city biking, or good riding skills. In case looking for a more relaxed ride without car traffic, we recommend our Santiago by Night Bike Tour (Same Route).*

We start the tour at Huaso Tours Offices: El Comendador 2060, and visit first the bohemian and cultural Bellavista neighborhood where we will explore the house of the national poet Pablo Neruda (La Chascona).

Bike along the vivid streets, appreciating the colorful murals until arriving in Patronato and Mercado Tirso de Molina; a popular fruit and vegetable market where you get to appreciate the Chilean fruits and vegetables, and also try out the local fresh natural juices.

We will hop on the bike again and continue our journey towards the main square: Plaza de Armas, where we will discover the Santiago Cathedral, City Hall, National History Museum, and the Central Post Office (Former Presidential Palace). Here, we will give you an introduction to the history of Chile and the importance of this place.

Next, we will bike along the commercial center until arriving in the Bulnes promenade and the presidential palace: La Moneda hiding stories through the years of the military coup in Chile. We will bike one more block until arriving in the Wall Street of Santiago (New York Street), where we get to appreciate some cultural heritage buildings introducing the magic of ancient Chile, as few buildings have survived after the intense earthquakes the country has suffered. On this route we will pass by the Supreme Court and the former National Congress.

Our next visit introduces you to the most traditional bar in Santiago: “ La Piojera” and their specialty “terremoto”; earthquake. On our ride back to the meeting point, we will explore the Central Market, a worldwide recognized fish market, as well as the Santiago Fine Arts Museum. We will end our tour back in Huaso Tours Offices after a relaxed final ride through the Uruguay and Balmaceda Parks.
